Preparing for my funeral

Funeral Arrangements at St Bridget’s

Arranging a funeral for a loved one at St Bridget’s is a heartfelt process, and we are here to guide you through it. Here are the essential details you need to know:

Contact an Undertaker: Begin by getting in touch with a funeral director. They are experienced in handling practical matters and can provide invaluable assistance.
Inform Your Undertaker: Let your chosen funeral director know that you wish to hold the service at our parish. Discuss your preferred times and dates. The funeral director will then liaise with the church to secure the available slots. It’s crucial to have these arrangements confirmed in writing by the funeral director.
Fees and Transportation: Your funeral director will outline the associated fees, and they should also make transportation arrangements for the priest to and from the cemetery or crematorium.
Meeting with the Priest: The priest will arrange a meeting with your family to discuss the funeral arrangements. This is an opportunity to decide if the family wishes to play an active role, which may include reading passages, delivering a eulogy, and selecting hymns.

For additional information or assistance, please feel free to contact our parish office at 020 8560 1431 or via email at isleworth@rcdow.org.uk. We are here to support you during this difficult time.
